42 in LCD TV. Picture suddenly goes dark and all faces or light colored objects are red.

Select the correct picture mode. For more information, see "Adjusting the picture" on page 13.

Adjust the brightness. For more information, see "Adjusting the picture" on page 13.

Make sure that the antenna or cable TV is connected correctly. For more information, see "Connecting an antenna, cable TV, or satellite TV box" on page 7.

Dynex dx-l321-10a no video

No video or no brightness? If no brightness on a LCD get the room very very dark and with a flashlight on the screen look to see if a faint (very faint) image of the picture can be seen or not.

Dynex Flat Screen 22" w/DVD

When the picture goes out, try to open and access the TVs menu using the Dynex remote. if the menu fails to open up you can bet there is a problem with the backlight on the TV. Letting the TV rest and then it working again indicates heat as the source of the problem. Check to see if your still in your 1yr warranty or if you have a protection plan at best buy, the TV needs help.

If the Menu were to still open, you can blame your cable/satellite set top box.

I have a Dynex 26 inch tv, literally bought it 6 months ago and the picture went extremely dark....

If you are sure the warranty is expired, the cost will be somewhere between $50-150 US. Although it is early for this kind of failure, either the fluorescent back-light or the inverter for it is likely dying.

Gone Dark - won't work

Either the power supply or inverter went out.
Try to get it fixed under warranty first. Not well made TV.

Dynex 32" tv picture goes black

If there is still about ? 24. Volts coming from the Power Board when it goes dark, it will be the Inverter board that needs replacing. If not, it is the Power Board that needs replacing. The Voltages should be written next to the sockets & plugs on the Power Board.

No picture on new Dynex 42" lcd hdtv

Do you have cable or DVD player connected yet? If not, connect your cable to the back of the LCD via Coaxial cable. Next turn channel to 3 or 4 whatever channel you use for cable. Then use auto programming to find all of your cable channels. If no cable connect the DVD outputs to one of the AV 1 or Av2 inputs on the back of your LCD. Power on the DVD player and change your input to which ever AV you connected it to. You should see a blue screen and your DVD Player Icon.

42" LCD tv shows picture on only half of the screen, other half dark!

The T-Con board (otherwise known as LVDS) connects to two seperste parts of the LCD panel. If you do have half a picture (left or right) replacing the T-Con board should resolve this issue. Open your TV, find the part number and search on eBay or at sites like www.flattvparts.co.uk where you can search by TV model number.
