You need to use an ethernet cable the first time so that the xbox can download some software that will allow the adapter to work

SOURCE: xbox 360 wireless networking adapter

Just unplug the Xbox, The xbox is a computer like yours. Soometimes with poweroutages, or ****.. The USB ports can get messed up. Or you onboard lan get get messed up. Uplug the Xbox power supply, and unhook the USB Net Adapter.

Wait a min or so. Plug back in.. Turn on, plug the USB net adapter back in wolaa.

The USB adapters are very simple really... Very hard to blow them up... no moving parts.

Wont stop flashing green and I can not connect to xbox live yet I used to be able to Any Help Thanks, Paul

IF The LIGHT IS FLASHING GREEN then there is something wrong with your wireless network
Check your network settings and Retry connecting

Check the adapter's status light loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); The adapter's status light can tell you a lot about the state that the adapter is in. Here's what the different lights mean:
  • Steady green light: The adapter is connected to a wireless router, gateway, or access point. The adapter is ready to use.

    Collapse this imageExpand this imagewirelessnetadptgreen2.jpg

  • Steady red light: The adapter is not recognized. Try plugging the adapter into a USB port on the front of the Xbox 360 console.
  • Flashing green: The adapter is attempting to connect to a wireless network.
  • Flashing red light: There is a problem. The adapter might be experiencing a hardware failure. Contact Xbox support at http://www.xbox.com/support/contact (http://www.xbox.com/support/contact) .
  • No light: The adapter is not receiving power. Unplug the USB connector and plug it in again. Still no light? Try plugging the adapter into a USB port on the front of the console

How do i configure a wireless adapter for xbox live

To use the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter with Xbox Live, you must have a high-speed Internet connection (cable or DSL).

Your wireless networking adapter is designed to attach directly to the back of your Xbox 360™ console.

Refer this article http://www.xbox.com/hi-IN/support/xbox360hardware/system_setup/setup_accessories/wirelessnetworkadapter.htm#Attach

I was going to buy an Xbox 360 wireless network adapter but im not sure if my Buffalo Router will connect to it. can anyone help

Just about any newer routers should work fine with the Xbox 360 wireless adapter. It you are worried about compatibility make sure you get the newest Xbox 360 Network adapter. It is the black one with two antennas. It will work with just about any network.

My Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter stopped working.

Shut off your console and unplug everything.

Connect the adapter then connect the console back together...Turn on console......Go to network configuration...Make sure u are connecting the adapter from the back!

If you are not able to achieve a connection for several attempts this means your should check warranty status for the adapter also.........If you unplugged it while the console was one you could of shocked the cable an blew the fuse.......Normally when u detach any components with a usb port u should alway make sure every thing is shut off before so.

You cannot use the netgear wi-fi adapter as the xbox 360 will not be able to detect it. I suggest buying the wi-fi adapter specifically manufactured for the xbox360
