Canon Waste Ink Absorber PIXMA iP4600 iP4700 reset software

You need to clean out the ink absorber before reseeting the printer, you are looking at an aprox. 75% strip of your printer, the absorber sits at the bottom right had corner of the machine and it is a long drawn out procedure.
There are instructions for replacing and cleaning ink absorbers on You Tube and also instructions for resetting the printer. It is too involved and lengthy to try repeat here. Try looking at:-

My printer says that the ink absorber is full and the unit will not print, how do I clean or repair?

THERE IS A SIMPLE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM ...

I used some of the "Cartridge Flush" solution ... I squeezed some onto the waste ink absorber pads (Black & Colour), using my ink refill needle, and then I used soem paper towels to soak it up from the ink absorber pads.

NO MORE MESSAGES!

... hope it works for you as it worked for me!

Waste absorber full

Inkjet printers have a fibrous pad inside them that collects the waste ink from cleaning the print head. Over time, this pad fills up with ink and can no longer hold any more. When this occurs, the printer indicates a "waste ink tank full" error.

Replacing the waste ink absorption pads is something an authorized canon service facility can take care of for you. Once they are replaced, it'll be functional again.
