When typing different characters appear. example: type the letter "t" an @ sign would appear. type the letter "j" a % sign would appear.


If you aren't in a language mode or KBII the printwheel homing pawl is probably broken. You need a tech.

Hi:

It sounds like you have a Keyboard 2 setting on. Check the keys and or switches and make sure you are in Keyboard 1.

The keys are typing different symbols. How can I get it back to normal? If I type R it makes a random symbol or types "j". Help!


If you are not in KBII, proportional space or a language mode the print wheel homing pawl is broken, you need a tech.

How do i type a percent sign O/O


The keyboard of the typewriter differs from country to country to adjust to special characters used in its language.
In the standard US keyboard the percent sign is in number 5 key. To insert the percent symbol you would use right or left [SHIFT] + number 5 key , provided you are using the standard daisywheel,

How do i change the font size?


You need to replace the printwheel.

There are many different type styles- some are larger but not by much. Try one named "Super Grande"

The printwheel is not in correctly. the printwheel has a bent spoke or the printwheel homing sensor needs cleaning. Lawrence
