We just installed a new cd player into my car and it shows it has power, it lights up but no display comes on and no buttons work, we have exchanged it and tried another one and the new one does the same thing, what is the problem?

Did tou wire the red line to 12volts when the ignition switch is in the acc or on position- and the yellow wire is powered at all times regardless of the position of the key switch?

have you had any speakers or bass boosters installed in your car that werent in the vehicle before you purchased. Watch for wiring issues or possibly even battery voltage issues.
if the radio lights are flashing the radio needs to be repair or replace, it is not a simple fix the radio power supply got damage when you replace the car battery happends a lot to Dodge Chrysler vehicles

acc is missing. the truck requires a data module for the radio to work properly. I suggest you take to stereo install shop and have this added. it should then work great
What is it not doing? "Wont play" doesn't really give enough information. Is it in credit? Does the LED display show the selection you make? Does the carousel turn?
Hi dont know if anyone reads this still. First the finger tip control you have to rewire it into the new cd player with a Autoleads PC99-X26 - Peugeot 206 plus connection to your make of radio. Also the wireing problem some times is down to the red and yellow wires being the wrong way round swap them over and this should solve this.
Sounds like your head unit is on it's way out, you could try cleaning the contacts of the face plate plate with rubbing alchol and a q-tip. Make sure you get both sets of contacts, the face and radio.Because the display is working it's definatly not a power problem, clean those contacts and if still doesn't work invest in a new radio, sorry to bear bad news if it's not the contacts.

Same issue but pressing Power and SEL would not reset unit. Found solution. Once again disconnected the car battery. Removed the face unit from the radio base and then reconnected the battery. Replacing the face unit AFTER the power was re-established solved the issue. (Probably pulling the radio fuse rather than toying with the battery connection would have done the same thing.)
