SOURCE: DV cassette does not come out

Please please please DO NOT spray anything in to the camera. The problem is that the main drive belt is slipping or the motor is tired and the mechanism is not completing the unload cycle. This is a trivial repair for an experienced camera tech. The belt should not be more than a couple of $$. The rubber has dried up a bit and is now a little slippery. Call around for the best labor rate and have the unit repaired. It is worth it.

I am looking for a way to download to my harddrive the mini dV to the drive itself, any suggestions? Mark

you need Ulead 11 (20 bucks at Ebay) program and a firewire cable. install the program. connect the camera to the computer with the firewire cable turn the camera on and put on play mode. follow the on screen prompt.

Does canonZR950 have a DV- In ? (Is a DV port always a I/O port)

This is incredible - I didn't know such a thing existed - but it does appear that the DV port on that camcorder is bidirectional, so it will serve as an input when connect to a source with a DV out. Very nice!

A lot, of course, will also depend on your endoscopic camera. I have seen endoscopic cams that would definitely be compatible with your Canon. But I saw a particular JVC endoscopic cam that would not be compatible. What is the model/manufacturer of the endoscopic cam?
