When I'm trying to launch Sonic Stage I'm getting an error box "cannot find the Open mg Secure Module. Exiting Sonic Stage. (error code 00005607)" Have tried uninstalling software and reinstalling also installed Open mg Secure Module seperately but still no joy! Also player has been formatted incorrected and I don't know how to get it back to the correct format? help?

since posting "0744tony" I llevered out the little bage on the top/back of player, and with the tiny screw driver that came with the battery, I undid the little screw underneath, it didn't come out easily. the old battery was stuck down with double sided tape and you have to be v v careful not to tear out the minute wiring our you'll be in trouble. I did change it, charged it up and all worked OK.

i have a sony nw e305 , same problem no detection and no charging even after it shows tht the battery is charging.. and the walman shows charge error at times...

so then try windows media player to sync songs to it or just open up the mp3 player in windows explorer and drag and drop your music over to it
