Door wont open on bosch classixx 6 1400 express washing machine

Door wont open and it says f16 in the display panel

Hi,
The "F16" on a Bosch indicates the door is open / unlocked. If it's happening during a wash it would suggest either a faulty door lock, faulty wiring or worse, a faulty main control board. The wash program should halt when this comes up but you should be able to restart it when the door is closed. As the cost of a new door interlock isn't overly expensive. The best way to fix this problem is to purchase a new lock and fit it.

What does error F:16 indicate?

It would be helpful to know tha make and model. Different manufacturers use the same code for different things. Can't tell from the picture (It looks a bit ike a Whirlpool)

What do's f16 mean on the bosch classixx 6 1200 mean

F16 is a door fault, could be the door is not tightly closed before pressing start, the lock is faulty so the machine is not registering that it is closed or the wiring connection to the door lock is loose.

F 16 AND F 63

F16 occurs when you try to start machine with door open or faulty door lock, F63 is a fault with control module

Why is F16 code flashing up on my bosch avantixx washer dryer

The door is not locked properly.
Open and close the door again and press the "start reload" button (play and pause button). If necessary, open the washing machine door, remove some of the cothing items and then push the door closed again. You can also try switching the washing machine off and on again, setting the programme and then starting the programme.

The "F16" on a Bosch indicates the door is open / unlocked. If it's happening during a wash it would suggest either a faulty door lock, faulty wiring or worse, a faulty main control board.

F16 measn a problem with your door lock.

The machine senses the door is open and will stop. The door lock isn't that expensive and should solve your problem. If that doesn't solve it then you may have a faulty control board.

Try the first choice. Good luck.

The wash programme should halt when this comes up but you should be able to restart it when the door is closed.

As the cost of a new door interlock isn't overly expensive I would suggest fitting a new lock on a "fit and see what happens" basis.
