Most dishwashers drain into the garbage disposal or sink drain. If you leave a lot of food on the dishes, it could cause a backup in either the drain or the garbage disposal, depending on your setup. Try running the garbage disposal or using a product like liquid plumber or drano to clear it.

Why is my kitchen sink leaking?

I think you should identify the problem at first)

1. A pressurized water hose leak
These will be really obvious - they'll be spraying pretty much constantly and creating a big mess.

2. A leak in the drain line
These will only become apparent when you turn your tap on and let the water drain away.

3. A faulty sink drain seal
If a leak doesn't appear in either case, try filling the sink with water, then let it drain away. This would suggest the issue is your drain seal.

A little bit of observation, trial and error should help you to work out which one of these issues is causing your leak.

Oliveri mixer taps

turn off the hot and cold water supply, place a container under the sink where the hose meets the Sink mixer.
release the pressure from the tap by opening the tap to let the water out.
use a suitable tool to undo the flexible hose from the underside of the tap, there should be a small "O" ring on it which you will have to replace as the "O" ring is possibly the cause of the leak.

Leak from bathroom sink behind the wall

hello , usually there will be water supply lines coming in from behind the wall area and if it isnt leaking at the supply valve it self then you may need to open up the wall area behind the sink and find out what is leaking it depends on what type of pipe is used most likely you have cooper tubing and sometimes these tubes after a while may leak or form small holes or it may be a leak at a soldered joint remeber there are 2 lines one for hot one for cold and you can turn the off by shuting off your water at the main valve then repair the leaking area.

How To Connect Sinks Drain

No matter what type of sink you purchase, the drain and water-supply connections are generally installed in the same way. Hand-tighten a female adapter onto the drain stub-out at the wall. Slide slip nuts onto the drain arm and the sink's tailpiece. Fit a P-trap in place and tighten the slip nuts by hand. Connect flexible water-supply tubes onto the faucet's tailpieces, and route them to the shut-off valves. Tighten coupling nuts with an adjustable wrench. Remove the faucet aerator, turn on the water, check for leaks at the shutoff valves, and then turn on the faucet to check for leaks in the drain assembly. Replace the aerator.
