the most likely issue is that your wifi router is not connecte to the internet. in order to solve this try calling your internet provider and asking them to fix your router.
hi try turning on the WPS(push and connect) setting in the router, this is normally found in the advanced wireless settings, this could be different for yours just depends on the software version you are running, one wps push n connect is enabled this will allow your iphone and ipod to connect to the network...hope this helps
If your Ipod touch will not 'find' your Belkin N router - or it did and then vanished forever try this- it worked for me. 1.Turn wifi off on your computer, ensure you have the latest firmware on your router, reset the router to factory default.Do this using a wired connection from the admin page. 2. Change the SSID name from what it was previously say from Belkin xyz to my router. 3. Power down the router wait about 30 seconds then power it back up. 4. As you reset to factory setting you will need to put in your internet access info again - do this from the admin page. Also set up your security at the same time. 5. Restart the router from the admin page. 6. Unplug wired connection start wifi and connect to your computer -make sure that you have full internet access from you computer - dont forget you need to connect to the newly renamed router. 7. Take ipod and make sure wifi is off. 8. Clear network settings. 9.Turn wifi on and it should find your newly renaned router - join and enter your pass key.
Why it does it I have no idea neither do Belkin or Apple but it worked for me - a trial and error solution !
Go to the settings and check if your wifi network is listed under WIFI. If not unplug your modem, wait 30 secs, plug it back in and check ipod again after 4 mins. If not, then you wifi router is broken. you can try unplugging that but i doubt it will work.
All you have to do to the ipod is go to settings, wifi and make sure its turned on in the same place you should see a list of wifi networks you can connect to just tap the one you want and the ipod will do its thing your done, but if you done all that and you ipod doesnt go online says connected but wont access the net, my guess is the wifi router you mite have some prob with that, make sure the internet ethernet cable is pluged into the modem plug not the numbered slots after this you should be good to go unless your wifi modem is new if so some req you to plug it to your computer via ethernet cable to program it first! Hope this helps
i had experienced that problem with my PSP
at the same case, just set your internet connection again and delete all of you history, cache and some data in you iPOD.HOPE I HAD HELP
Solution #1 is always what apple agent do with iPhone and iPod touch calls. If that doesn't work they always recommend calling your ISP ( internet service provider ) however; you can actually do this yourself.
This may work but simply restart your router. Unplug your wireless G or B router from the wall. Wireless N routers will not work and are not compatible with both of these devices. Even though your computer may be working fine. The iPhone and iPod touches are not compatible with wireless N routers.
After disconnect the wireless router from the wall. Leave it unplugged for 5min or more, then re-connect it. This is called resetting your router.
After resetting your router turn your wi-fi off on your device and turn it back on and you should have some luck. If asks for password. enter in your password to join.
