At work, my E330 printer said that i needed a new photocopier kit--i ordered one but when i put it in, the printer still won't print. The instruction say to reset using the display window--but my printer does not have a window in order to reset the configuration. I tried turning printer off and tried taking cartridge out but still no success. How do I reset printer for new photocopier kit if i do not have a display menu window. since my E mail at work is limited through head office, I would appreciate an answer at my home address of [email protected]. If you have tried a new toner cartridge and that didn't fix it you probably need to put in a new drum or Fuser kit. If it is really old and has had a lot of use I would consider replacing the whole printer with a new one. The fuser kit I saw listed on Amazon for this printer was half the price of a newer printer. If you do a lot of printing or this is in a business environment make sure when looking at replacements that you get one rated for the number of pages you print a month. I have had really good luck with HP and Brother laser printers.
Are you, by any chance, trying to print a PDF file? If so, you need to use the print feature in the PDF reader and not the print capabilities of your operating system.
If you have just replaced the pc (photoconductor) kit, you also need to reset the pc (photoconductor) counter. Here's the link for instructions on how to reset the page count: http://bit.ly/agYtVo . After replacing the photoconductor kit, you will need to reset the photoconductor page count. To ensure optimum print quality, the printer will prompt you to perform printer maintenance every 150,000 pages. When the PERFORM PRINTER MAINTENANCE message appears on the control panel, you will need to purchase a printer maintenance kit and install the new parts. To check the number of pages the printer has printed, print a configuration page. To print a configuration page: 1 Press [Menu] until INFORMATION MENU appears. 2 Press [Item] until PRINT CONFIGURATION appears. 3 Press [Select] to print the configuration page. To order the printer maintenance kit, contact an HP authorized service or support provider. (See the telephone support flyer included with the printer.) The kit includes: • fuser assembly • transfer roller • feed rollers • necessary instructions For more information on installing the printer maintenance kit, see the instructions that accompany it.
To change paper size setting, press the user function-->user-->drawer.
In order to do network printing using network port (RJ45), u need to make sure printing kit (GM107x) is installed on your machine. It looks like an thumb driver.
But u can also enable the 60 days trial periods in order to try out the network printing.
open front door, hold reset until lights flash up and down, press reset again, close door.
Press continue button to print the status of the photoconductor kit, it should be ok. But if you don't change the photoconductor kit, I think you can break other components.
