Waiting for activation

My service provider said that is because it is waiting to be linked to the internet... in order to use it as a phone until then.... press and hold down L and the menu button for three seconds...and it will unlock the phone aspect but you still have to wait the time period for internet use...

This is a "smart phone" and has GPRS (internet) built in. if you only have a regular cell phone, and have transfered the sim card from it, (to the sidekick), the internet feature/option on your account has never been activated. the message will pop up EVERY time you turn your sidekick on, requiring
you to press the "menue" and "L" key at the same time (to by-pass that screen), and allow you to use the regular phone functions. to make the screen go away for good, you MUST either sign up for a t-mobile unlimited sidekick data plan (for $20 a month), or have them activate the "sidekick service pac" it is a free service that allows your sidekick to use the gprs feature and log in, but NO INTERNET is avalable. the good news is the "service pac" is free. you just have to call custumer care to have it added. adrian
