The only way to get a prinplup in pokemon diamond(besides trading with a friend of course) is to evolve it from a piplup which can only be achieved by choosing it as a starter pokemon

yes it is i dont own a ds but it is reccomeneded to get but i would just get platinum, if your a total pokemon fan and need all the games buy pearl,diamond and platinum the games dont vary pearl has like a few pokemon diamond dosent have and platinum has the distortion world which the others dont

do you mean migrate pokemon from a gba pokemon game to diamond because if you do that you need to complete the sinnoh pokedex by seeing every pokemon in the sinnoh pokedex and then you can go to the pal park. Then put the gba game in the gba slot. Start up you diamond and on the menu there should be a sign that says, "Migrate from gba game"

I figured it out. I went to the list of all the games it had. Pokemon Pearl wasn't there, but Pokemon Diamond was. I clicked on Diamond and I got to cheat on Pearl!

The pokemon that you are trying to migrate probably has a new move if that makes sense? It will have a move that is only in emerald but not in diamond?

Put the GBA game in the gba slot on the ds and start the pokemon ds game after beating the elite four, and choose migrate pokemon (or transfer pokemon) then go to the national park to find your transfered pokemon.
