Default status have a mac apple lap top connected to a lexmark x1185 all in one. printer works if i print from lap top but it will not print a copy. error message said printer will not work because it is not default printer but it is default printer

Turn the documents printed page away from you. (Document facing you, turn it around so that the print is on the backside)

Insert it in the top paper feed tray. Align the left side of the document page, with the alignment bar on the left side of the top paper feed tray. (Put the left side of the paper against the plastic bar on the left side of the paper tray)

Computer running, Windows loaded. Go to Start>Hover your mouse cursor on All Programs>Lexmark>Lexmark Printer

Click on the Copy function, and go to the Properties window to set how many copies you want, (Default setting is 1), what size paper you're using, and so on.

Go to the printers website and there will be a copy of the driver to download.

Despite Apple advertising,
Macs dont plug n play with very much
they need drivers,
Lexmark are pretty good with support software

did you make sure that you pulled all of the tape off the bottom of the cartridge. next recheck your settings. they will not return to normal themselfs

You have XP or Vista?

check to make sure the printer is set as the default printer. For some reason macs seem to deselect the printer

I believe you have to push the scan button in order for it to scan and save. The copy buttons will only print either a black copy or a color copy.
