Hp psc 1410 all in one

Red light flashing telling me that there is a problem with the ink cartridge, to check them, i have check them, also i changed both the cartridges to new ones and still it doesn't work. what can the problem be?

    I purchased new cartridges, reinstalled my software, plugged and unplugged my printer, and still has the flashing red light with check ink cartridge error

    THE CHECK PRINT CARTRIDGE IS FLASHING AFTER I INSTALLED MY 2 NEW BLACK AND COLOR CARTRIDGE.

If You have light or message about print cartridge or alignment problems

Cause: The incorrect type of paper is loaded in the paper tray.

  • Solution: The paper must be blank and white for the alignment to succeed.
    If the alignment fails again, you might have a defective sensor or print cartridge. Contact HP
    Support by going to www.hp.com/support. Click Contact HP for information on calling for
    technical support.
Cause: Protective tape is covering the print cartridges.

  • Solution: Gently remove the plastic tape by using the pink pull tab. Do not touch the ink
    nozzles or the copper-colored contacts.
  • Reinsert the print cartridges and verify that they are fully inserted and locked in place.
Cause: The contacts on the print cartridge are not touching the contacts in the print carriage.
  • Solution: Remove and then reinsert the print cartridges. Verify that they are fully inserted and locked in place.
Cause: The print cartridge or sensor is defective.

  • Solution: Contact HP Support. Go to www.hp.com/support. Click Contact HP for information on calling for technical support.

Sounds like the printer thinks the cartridge is empty. Old PSC units had a 3 cartridge memory - you kept 3 cartridges and cycled them to trick the printer into thinking it had just received a brand new cartridge, rather than a refilled one.

HP PSC 1410 All-In-One InkJet Printerred ink problem

I know this might sound silly but there is pieces of plastic on the bottom of the cartridges that cover the holes to keep them from drying out, make sure they are removed and then reinstall the cartridges and see if that helps.
