You will need to use a third party firmware or update your current firmware on the firewall

SOURCE: Sir I have SonicWall pro 2040,

Just upgrade to the IPS (instrusion prevention subscription) for your 2040 and check Prevent ALL for HIGH, MEDIUM and LOW (LOW blocks Facebook like a champ). You'll find some other services blocked as well such as Terminal Services, but you can filter individual LOW priority attacks to allow those connections in (I recommend VPN for Terminal services anyway).

I actually was looking for a way to OPEN connections to Facebook while preventing LOW priority attacks and found your post.

Isn’t the internet great?

Well the way that these filters work is that they look for the EXACT address: www.facebook.com. To fix this you’ll want to add https://www.facebook.com and http://www.facebook.com. This will help the filter to see all combinations and block them all.

You can't login, all you can do is to reset the SonicWall. There is a small pinhole on the front panel, hold it for some time... that will boot it in a safe mode to reset it.

If the SonicWALL's admin password is lost, there is no backdoor or other mechanism to bypass the administrator login. Please note that prefs files do not contain the admin name and password. So if you reset the firmware and import a current prefs file, you can gain access using the default login credentials ('admin' & 'password'). Without a current prefs file, you must reset the firmware and configure from scratch.

For models running SonicOS (Enhanced or Standard), you can reboot to factory defaults. This resets all settings including the admin name, password and LAN IP address. Import the current prefs file. The configuration is restored and use the defaults 'admin' and 'password' to login.

For models running Firmware 6.X, you must reset the firmware (wipe and upload using the reset procedure). Import the current prefs file. The configuration is restored and use the defaults 'admin' and 'password' to login. The 'Reset to Factory Defaults' button does not reset the admin name, password or LAN IP address for these models

pre-shared key is a must for connectivity. only after inputting this, you would be prompted with user id & password, if configured to.

Another solution is to enable NAT on RV082 for 192.168.1.0/24 network. Routing is preferable.
