Hi, You mentioned this would be about $15 to buy. I am in the UK and I need one of these, please could you give me some idea where I could by one (it doesn't have to be UK, I am prepared to buy from the US). Thanks, Pete.

JVC support site isn't much help for their products. Here is the link:

Usually the drivers are built into Windows XP and Vista to run your camera once it is plugged in. You do need a program to transfer the video and edit it. Pinnacle Studio is a good one and will recoginize most digital cameras once they are plugged into the computer and turned on.

Best Buy has a 6 pin to 4 pin firewire cable. You will need some software as well to copy to the hard drive such as Pinnacle Studio if you don't have on already.
Once the cable is plugged in and turned on Studio will detect the camera and run the program.

Hi,
You can't reset the camcorder, i think you have an defective image sensor and must be replaced by an certifcated JVC center

I have the same problem with lcd flex cable. I was told that it would cost about 150 € to solve the problem, although I was sure that cable is not so expensive. I am from Spain and I am very interested about buying that cable. If someone could get me some information I would be grateful.
I have the same problem with a blank screen - I had it looked at and was told that the fault was caused by a faulty "ribbon" and would cost about £200 to repair as it is a particularly fiddly job. I dont intend to pay that kind of money and would welcome comments as to whether I was being overcharged
Incidentally,I have since found that if I turn the screen right over so that it faces frontwards then it does work, so will make do for the time being.
