JVC GR-DVP7 LCD flex cable

Hi, You mentioned this would be about $15 to buy. I am in the UK and I need one of these, please could you give me some idea where I could by one (it doesn't have to be UK, I am prepared to buy from the US). Thanks, Pete.

I have the same problem with lcd flex cable. I was told that it would cost about 150 € to solve the problem, although I was sure that cable is not so expensive. I am from Spain and I am very interested about buying that cable. If someone could get me some information I would be grateful.

I have the same problem with a blank screen - I had it looked at and was told that the fault was caused by a faulty "ribbon" and would cost about £200 to repair as it is a particularly fiddly job. I dont intend to pay that kind of money and would welcome comments as to whether I was being overcharged

Incidentally,I have since found that if I turn the screen right over so that it faces frontwards then it does work, so will make do for the time being.

SOURCE: I want to get drivers for jvc cybercam GR-DVP7

JVC support site isn't much help for their products. Here is the link:

Usually the drivers are built into Windows XP and Vista to run your camera once it is plugged in. You do need a program to transfer the video and edit it. Pinnacle Studio is a good one and will recoginize most digital cameras once they are plugged into the computer and turned on.

SOURCE: JVC GR-DVP7 - Video to PC / Firewire Cable ... where can I get one?

Best Buy has a 6 pin to 4 pin firewire cable. You will need some software as well to copy to the hard drive such as Pinnacle Studio if you don't have on already.

Once the cable is plugged in and turned on Studio will detect the camera and run the program.

Zooming is not working probably while recording

Had this problem myself a while back.

NOTE - This is NOT a recommended procedure, and you try it purely at your own risk !!!!!

I knelt down and struck the base of the camera firmly but gently on a carpeted floor, then tried again. This worked for me - if you wish to try it go ahead. Good luck

Hi I have a jvc dv p7 and lost the av av cable, how can i transfer my videos to a vcr, cant find the cable nowhere! Somebody knows where i can find the cable ? Chris

If you need the AV multi-cable for the GR-DVP7, that is part number, QAM0403-001 . It is available at the JVC store: http://store.jvc.com/product.asp?Model=QAM0403-001 . You can also buy the i-Link video cable if your VCR has that feature on the site. The JVC support and links to the accessories are here: http://support.jvc.com/consumer/product.jsp?modelId=MODL026871&pathId=26&page=1&archive=true .

I hope this helps.

Blank LCD screen?

Its probably a broken flex cable or the LCD is bad now because of all the flicking going on?? The flex cables about 15 bucks depending on where you get it but if your not good with really tiny electronics I would let a pro do the repair for you as you can cause alot of damage, as you could break other flex cables just taking it apart. Good Luck
