My canon rebel xsi was working a month ago. Today I took it out from the case and found it was not reading the card (8gd transand). It had been working fine until last time I used it mid of April. Thought it was a card problem, I went out to buy a new one (8gb sdhc), put it in and it asked for reformat. Proceed to reformat the card, but it says it can't reformat it and ask to change the card. Put in the old card (which was loaded with picture I previouly took), it asks the same thing. I'm 100% sure both cards are just working fine by testing them on pc. Don't know what to do. Pls let me if you have customers who have the same problem and how to get it fixed. Thanks a lot in advance!

The reader in the camera has gone bad. You can get it repaired by anyone who fixes camera's or by sending it to Canon which will cost you more then finding someone in your home town that repairs cameras. Just FYI the repair is somewhat costly roughy 150 dollars or so

Remove the camera memory card and use a card reader. Fit the memory card in the card reader and go in My computer. You will find there your memory card. Just open the memory card and copy them & then paste in the computer.

Camera is stating No Card when there is an SD card in camera

camera sd card board is faulty you need to relace new sd card board.

My canon rebel XSi will not auto focus

Actually what I found to solve the problem was to first set the lens in "MF" and practice taking a picture manually to see if that would work. When I did this, I discovered that the fine tuning portion of the lens was somehow stuck mechanically. I heard a loud click as I turned it. That was all it took to fix the focusing mechanism on the lens. Then I set to "AF" and Voila, the camera worked just fine.

Canon EOS Rebel XSi pop up flash won't "pop down"

Do not Tape it down, If the flash is pooping up all the time take it to a good Camera repair shop to have the catch replaced. At the same Time you may consider getting a full service done.
