F2 code is on on my ht duet.I cleaned out hose to pump already to make sure it wasn't clogged. I believe it is a bad pump. What do you think? How much should I expect to pay for a pump? Is it easy to change pump and can I do it myself? (whirlpool duet ht ghw9300pw4)

Take off the bottom panel and you should find some troubleshooting tech notes. Do the tests and let us know what you find.

I checked for clogged hoses. The black hose(the one that feels like it has a tennis ball in it. The white(clear) hose the drains is also clear of any objects. However the black pump (part #461970228511) may not be working. It is making a humming noise and is extremely hot. I followed the long drain procedure. Pump?

My son has a whirlpol duet sport ht, it not working and says F-22 on it what does that mean

Drain pump is clogged. Check the drain hose as well, make sure it isn't kinked or clogged. You're gonna have to remove the bottom kick panel. Should be 3 or 4 screws at the bottom. 1/4 in or hex. You may have to tilt the unit backwards a bit to get to the screws. Once the panel has been removed, you will need to open the drain pump to clear it of foreign objects. There will probably be water still in the pump, make sure that you have a container and some towels handy.

Hi, my name is Uwe Gemba. Our duet sport Ht is not draining the water out. error F-21.

"F21" is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be displayed. This may be an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1.First, attempt to unplug the washer for at LEAST 30 minutes to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). Sometimes this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches with the unit. If the error code returns, proceed to step 2.
2.Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
3.Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
4.Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump.

Whirlpool duet ht has f21 on screen

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F21 indicates long drain, this error occurs when the drain time exceeds 8 minutes. To resolve this check the drain hose and make sure it is not kinked with any foreign particles; also clean the drain pump filter for any clogs. Also check if the pump is running fine. If still the issue is not resolved after all this then you might have to replace the pump. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

I have a Whirlpool duet HT front loading automatic washer, it's not draining & last time it did this a repair man came and showed me how to get underneath and drain it, but I don't remember how

The following link explains how to access the drain pump on a Whirlpool Duet front loader to clean out the trap:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385844-checking_drain_pump_kenmore_elite_front

If you are experiencing drainage issues and cleaning the pump does not work, you may have to replace the drain pump. You will usually experience an "F2", "SUD" or "F21" error code (depending on model number) for a drain blockage problem. Since this error code occurs when the drain cycle exceeds 8 minutes, if the pump motor or impeller becomes damaged, the pump will not pump at the required volume and the error code will continue to occur. Replacement pumps can be purchased on line at:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between these sites, so shop all of them for the best deal.

NOTE: Make sure you also check the drain hose and the inlet hose that runs from the bottom of the wash tub to the drain pump. Small articles of clothing can commonly get lodged in this area.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Washer won't drain or spin, get F2 error

Hello hernandez160,

The "F2" error is referring to excessive drain time. Unplug machine before working on it. Remove screws on bottom of lower panel and remove panel. The drain pump is behind the panel, It has a large round door on it, turn counter clock wise by hand to access pump clean out. Have lots of towels ready. Remove anything from pump (usually kids socks or small clothing articles). If nothing in pump clean out remove suction boot from drain pump and check there. If nothing there blow through the drain hose from the pump side to check if anything is stuck in the hose. If that's clear check the electrical connection on the pump, make sure nothing is loose or broken at the connection. If all this checks out good and it still wont work you probably have a bad pump and it will need to be replaced. If you do find something was blocked or clogged due to small clothing articles I would recommend a garment/lingerie bag to keep all the small stuff together during the wash cycle. Hope this helps to fix your problem. Please remember to rate this and every solution you get.
Thanks,

Whirlpool Duet HT GWH9300P Suds then F2

This means that the drain time has exceeded 8 minutes and the water valves have turned off. After 4 minutes the suds error is displayed then 4 minutes later the F2 error.
Potential causes
1.Check drain hose for kinks or cloggs
2.Check electrical connection at the pump and make sure the pump runs.
3.Check inside of pump for foreign objects
4.If none of the above fixes the machine replace the pump.
