How to Format Nokia N72, N73, N81, N95, NSeries Mobile Phones. Method 1: Three Finger Reset for Nokia Phone

1. Switch off your Nokia phone.

2. Hold down the following three keys, Green (call answer button) * Key, and Number '3? key.

3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.

4. Wait for message 'Formatting' to appear on the screen and release all keys once you see that message.
Method 2: Hard Format of Nokia Mobile Phone

1. Switch off your Nokia phone

2. Now Press following key sequence *#7370#

3. Enter Default lock code is 12345.

4. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.

5. Wait for message 'Formatting' to appear on the screen and release all keys once you see that message.
Method 3: Soft Reset of Nokia Mobile Phone

1. Switch off your Nokia phone

2. Now Press following key sequence *#7780#

3. Enter Default lock code is 12345.

Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press the power on/off to switch on the phone.
Remember, do not let go the 3, press and hold keys until you see a formatting word screen show! 2.

• Let the Three be pressed and switch on the Phone.
• The formatting will start.
• This will send the Phone's memory to factory settings.

You have a great Nokia N95, well, on this error, I suggest that you should call your Network Service Provider.

try three key format it will unlock all and gets in factory defaults
in off state press calling (green button)+*+3 and on your cell while pressing all menshoned keys till your phone display shows formatting try this it works

Try pressing your menu button for 2 seconds this will open a window with all the applications that are open. Select them one at a time and press C to close them.
Try to open the Web via the menu rather than the short cut.
Try a restart, if it still doen't work delete the Wap/Internet settings ask Vodafone to send you new ones, make sure the settings are for the N95, And that you are using a Vodafone SIM card.

CHInese NOKIA N95 is just a chinese mobile not a NOKIA branded mobile. All the PC suites, themes, apps and games are not designed for these chinese mobiles. All are designed only for NOKIA branded cell phones only. So i m sorry to say that u r wasting ur time and money to install these apps,themes,etc. They r only able to transfer mp3s,videos and pics. not other than that.
U need to have original branded mobile phones. SOrry gUys.

There are 3 methods to format the phone

First: if the phone menus work there is a; go to menu -> tools -> settings -> general -> factory restore. note: the defualt code is 12345
Seconed method requires you to enter these into the dial number area. Nokia Code : *#7370# : NOKIA Format phone (Soft Reset)
Nokia Code : *#7780# : NOKIA Factory Reset (Hard Reset)
Found these in the N95USERS fourm. Note: the defualt code is 12345


Third: is a button combination the needs to be done during the phone powering on
Hold down. 3, * and Green Call button While holding this combination press the power button once to start the phone Note: this does not require any codes; if this works the phone will prompt you to be set up again

There are two methods to format the memory card
First: Go to menu -> tools -> utillites -> memory -> options -> format mass storage
Seconed: Connect your phone to your PC via the supplied USB cable. Then select Mass Storage mode on the phone. Once you PC has installed the Mass Storage device you can format the card from My Computer. Note: assuming Microsoft Windows XP or VISTA.
