Our washer was in the middle of the spin cycle and I heard a loud crack sound and everything stopped and I can't even get power. We're thinking maybe it's the belt. One other problem; the water didn't all drain out so I don't know how to do that brfore we work on it.

Smart Drive washers do not have a belt... If you can't get power, you've most likely burnt out the motor controller board. This is probably due to another component failing...You should call a tech....To remove the water, remove the cone from the centre of the agitator, and undo the large wing nut inside the tube. This will let you remove the agitator and ladle out the water.....Good luck.....Nomess

Maytag Centennial washer makes loud bang and the end of cycle.

I don't think it would be the bearing, as no sounds abnormal occur during it's wash cycle. I think it's at the end of the spin dry cycle, that a "brake" is applied which stops the drum from spin drying, but is being applied overly hard, which causes the drum to "BANG", stop abruptly by the brake. Only a washer repairman could deal with that problem, but, it's NOT dangerous to the washer, IF that's what the problem is. Contact a washer repairman in your area, and they'll probably be able to tell you if it's THAT or something more serious, which I doubt. The reason why the washer moves a bit when at the end of the cycle is probably because the brake which causes the spin dry cycle to come to it's end, does so very fast, which displaces the centrifugal energy abruptly towards lateral motion. Not really dangerous either.

Maytag Neptune makes loud drums like sound 5 min before it stops.

its probably because of the way the clothes are in it. you have to make sure the clothes arent leaning to one side and that they are evenly set up. otherwise when it goes into the spin cycle itll lean and hit the side of the washers inside and make it shake and do what you said it was doing.

Wet clothes after final spin cycle

There are two speed (or three) on most washer motors and what happens is that a motor speed will stop functioning--it will wash the clothes, but the high speed will not function. This also could be the controller, but more likely it is centered at the motor. It the motor is functioning, it coulfd be in the transmission of the machine--which may be the problenm since you heard a loud noise. I am not familiar with your machine, there could be an electronic switch for the transmission to go into high speed as well that has gone bad. I wish I had more direct knowledge of your machine.

Loud sounds coming from the washer on spin cycle

That is a characteristic of bearings gone bad. You should look into replacing the bearings.
