Epsons usually give you an option to "clean the heads." Look for any Epson software on the computer, or it might be hidden within the "Properties" of that printer (in Control Panel).

Epson Stylus C88 Ink Jet Printer only prints in blue but when i look at ink levels they all almost empty

Replace all ink cartridges and the printer will work again. The level indicators are just indicators and are not precise.

Recently replaced all cartridges in C88 with new recently purchased Epson cartridges. Only blue and black ink prints. No red or yellow. Tried cleaning printer heads. Still no red or yellow printing.

You have to go to the properties of the printer and in the maintainance tab do some nozel cleaning and head cleaning.
and check it should be fine
thanks

Epson Stylus C88 - New Epson Factory ink cartridges. Nothing prints, although printer goes through the motions of printing. What could be wrong? Ink levels are fine.

You should run a nozzle check to verify if the heads are printing all the inks correctly. If the pattern is incomplete you need to run head cleanings.

Epson stylus C88 won t print color ink black is

If you have carried out 4 to 5 head cleans, waited about 8 hours and done another 3 or head cleans doing nozzle checks after each clean (as recommended by the manual) and there is still no improvement then you will need a third party head cleaning solution such as this one:
http://websites.uk-plc.net/UK_Inkjet_Cartridges_PLUS/products/Print_Head_Cleaner.htm
Other makes & brands are available just google "inkjet head cleaning solution" Hope this helps.

Changed the black ink on epson c88 and it will not print

Hi,

Unfortunately yes... you need to have at least some ink in each cartridge or the printer will refuse to work.

I did post up a long explanation of why this was on another solution but I can't find it so short version is that it does this to stop damage to the printhead nozzles.

Hope that helps.

Epson Stylus C88 no longer will print colors

you mean it goes intothe motion of printing and the paper comes out blank ?
you already changed the cartridges and performed print head cleaning. it is having a hardware failure and it needs service. (get a new one instead)(contact the manufacturers customer service and ask for the loyalty program - discounted price)
sad to say but theres no fix-it-yourself for that issue. (you can verify it with the manufacturers tech support)

C88 only green and yellow

You are out of black and magenta (tricolor cartridge) ink or ink has dried up.
Try touching the nozzle plate (underneath print cartridge) with a water dampened cloth (not alcohol) for cleaning clogged nozzles (do not rub).
Ultimate remedy : put in contact nozzle plate with hot water for about 5 seconds.
If color still missing your printer need new cartridges.
