thats because u need to go to graphics options and change it there depending on the type of windows if u have windows vista i can help u but if not im sorry but i dont know.

My Toshiba laptop's screen has gone black, the power indicator is alight but cd rom and hard drive do not kick in when booting up the laptop??

sounds like possible the power supply for the laptop is dying and only giving minimal power
