Whatt's the trick to getting the top housing off??? I removed all the upper screws but it's still firmly fixed where the drip "shower head" exits the silicone tubing by some hidden hardware. Do I need to remove the bottom cover to Unlock it??? Help!!

We had this problem too after receiving this unit from friends that said the coffeemaker side no longer worked on the BCO 120. After replacing the thermal fuse, it worked fine for a few months, then it started leaking a small amount of water during brewing of coffee. I had read this leak was from the removable water tank not seating so I pushed the tank down firmly. Still it leaked. So, I took the machine apart, the bottom and raised it up, and set it to brew. I located leak at top right side of unit where, as Will2012 suggested, the water rising area. I removed the 9 inch vertical tube from its insert at top and found the cable tie fell off, so it was loose. I then removed the cover over the basket area that has the Strength selected knob. The four screws holding down the shower head unit were rusted away. I replaced them with no.6 stainless steel screws, using bolt cutters to reduce them to the correct length as the ones at hardware store were too long. I replaced the three cable ties at each point from the reddish orange silicon tube at bottom that connects to the no. 2 plastic vertical tube, and also the cable ties where the no. 2 plastic tube connects to the clear silicone tube and also to the shower head. Make sure the cable tie connecting the clear silicon tube to the black shower head is near the end, or your won't be able to seat the shower head flush when you put it back together. This solves it for me. You'll need a safety Torx driver to remove the bottom screws. A very small jeweler's screwdriver will also work in these screw heads.

I have the same leaking problem, but I could never do all that! Are you kidding? Buying screws then cutting them and replacing things . I'll keep on letting leak, I had alreafy put a cast iron hot plate which helps it to cool and keep the leaked water away from the bottom of the machine. I'll keep on using it till it stops working. I will Remember NEVER to get another Delonghi again, coffee machine nor any other gadget they make.

The leak is most likely coming from the rising part of the water transfer. If you remove the bottom cover check the tubes and Joints. The joints get small cracks and when the water gets hot and starts to go up the tube it will leak. You should be able to fix with some epoxy glue or glue that will stop leaks..

There are many possible points that the leak can be.

All points of the water supply from water tank to the pressure pump then to boiler and finally to coffee group. All this are connected together with plastic or Teflon pipes with easy fit unions secure with clips

You need to disassemble the machine and work it without the side panels of course with extra care since power electrical cables are exposed.

In this way with a very good visual check while the machine is in operation you can identify the leaking point and fix it.

Cuisinart DGB coffeemaker

Does the water leak out before or after the brew? Can you leave water in it without starting a brew cycle, or does that leak as well?

Coffee brewer works to the point wher you push the flashing brew button no water pumps through.

Hi

If your coffeemaker appears to be clogged. Create a vinegar and water solution and flush the concoction through your coffeemaker pump. This will help dissolve build up in your coffeemaker. If you do this once a month, your coffeemaker pump won't clog.Unplug the coffeemaker and inspect the pump valve. Water won't rise through the fill tube if the pump valve is stuck or broken. If your pump is sealed, replace the pump. If the pump valve is accessible, make sure there are no coffee grounds or mineral deposits around it.
Also check the brewing switch is in good working order. Remove the base plate on your coffeemaker and test the switch with a volt-ohm meter. Set your volt-ohm meter on the RX1 scale. If your switch reads zero ohms, your switch works fine. If it reads anything other than zero, replace the switch. Also take a look at the tube connectors, if your coffeemaker is sputtering, leaking or steaming. Leaks in pump coffeemakers are often due to faulty tube connectors. Unplug the coffeemaker and fill the reservoir with water. If water leaks from an elbow, clean the mating surfaces before replacing it. If your water leaks from a tube connector, replace the tube and mating elbow to ensure a good fit.

Not brewing. Add water and coffee, switch to the brew selection and the water/coffee does not flow. The machine heat ups and starts processing noise.

Make sure the lid is on the carafe.

Make sure you are not using a paper filter and a gold tone filter at the same time.

Make sure the carafe lid is down all the way and that the center knob of the carafe lid is making contact with the spring at the bottom of the filter basket.

If the above conditions have been met, then decalcify your coffeemaker by running 1/3 carafe worth of vinegar and 2/3 carafe worth of water through your coffeemaker - use the self-clean button to do this - will take about 35 minutes.

The ''clean'' light is on my cusinart coffee maker

Let a half caraffe worth of distilled white vinegar sit in the water reservoir for about an hour. After the hour, turn the coffeemaker on and let it brew the vinegar until a small amount of vinegar appears in the caraffe. turn the coffeemaker off and let it sit for an additional 20 minutes. Then turn the coffeemaker back on and let it brew the rest of the vinegar. Then run a full caraffe of plain water to flush the vinegar out. If the self-clean light remians on - unplug the coffeemaker for 20 minutes or longer - if you unplug it for any less than 15 minutes, the coffeemaker will not reset itself. You should be good after that - as long as you do some sort of vinegar/water cleaning once a month henceforth.

Cuisinart coffee on demand

There are a couple of possibilities. I would try an unconventional decalcifying process - let 1/2 a caraffe of distilled white vinegar and 1/2 caraffe water sit in the reservoir for a full hour with the coffeemaker unplugged. At the end of the hour, plug the coffeemaker back in and turn it on - once a small amount of vinegar and water brews through, turn the coffeemaker off. Let sit for an additional 20 minutes. Then turn the coffeemaker back on and let the rest of the vinegar/water brew thorugh.

If the machine doesn't take the vinegar/water at all, call Cuisinart and find out if your are still in-warranty. If you are, get the machine replaced. If you are out of warranty, you can remove the bottom of the coffeemaker (difficult), and look at the bottom - likely you will see a loose hose. You can get a Ace Hardware or True Value Hardware salesperson to find an adhesive that will put it back together, or get a generic replacement hose - original parts would not be available except by buying a broken Cuisinart in the same model.

My two cents.

Coffee leaks after it is brewed

The water reservoir on this mdoel is very close to the coffee reservoir - if excess water gets between the wall of the coffeemaker and the coffee reservoir, it will leak exactly as you described. Make sure no water spills out of the water reservoir when your pour it.

DGB-600 grind & brew thermal coffeemaker

Water leaking in the DGB-600 is mainly caused by heated water escaping from its proper path. There is a rubber grommet on the underside of the upper part of the coffeemaker. (It contacts the lid over the filter basket when the front door is closed.) The design in this area is very poor; the grommet does not seat properly in the fixed part of the coffeemaker, and heated water seeps out. Also, the heated water tube that comes up through the cold water reservoir is actually in 2 pieces. One goes inside of the other, but there is no seal. It is a loose enough fit that some steam escapes, condenses on the inside top surface of the coffeemaker, and then finds its way down to add to the leaking. I completely disassembled my coffeemaker (3 of the screws in the upper compartment are hidden under small circular plugs that look like they are part of the plastic surface), and used high temperature automotive RTV sealer to help the rubber grommet seal better, and to seal the 2-piece hot water tube. Works great now! But I must say that I have seen better engineering in childs' toys!
