    1. There's a slide switch on the top of the unit, near the headphone jack. Slide the switch away from the jack to unlock the Sansa.

    2. What software are you using to not see some songs?

I actually figured out the first part myself...duh! I have a laptop - not sure the year but i am able to view most of the songs but not all of them. It pulls up a list of songs and most of them are there, some are not. Laptop is 2 years old so newer technology. thanks so much!

You still haven't told me whether you're using a Mac or a Windows PC, nor have you told me what software you're using that doesn't show all your songs.

So you're using Explorer? Have you looked in all folders, not just "MUSIC"?

Having gone over a month with no response to the latest query, I assume this is no longer a problem.

Every 4 weeks my mp3 player gives me a message saying " File System Error". It doesn't go away for at least 2 months. How do I fix this problem?

Hi There

I can understand your issue. This issue might occur due to two reasons,
1) May be the songs which you have might now supported or corrupted
2) If this is happen for all songs, then its problem with MP3 player itself.

If its first reason, then try deleting the song and play it
If its second reason, then please format the device.

Please revert if any clarifications.

"Bad Track" Messages on e260

You have songs that may be protected or the wrong format for your device.
delete the bad song and download another copy from a different source and try it.
This is not to uncommon due to different file formats and protection in the song files
When you rip songs from another device often some won't load or play in another device
especially if they are paid for songs.

Bad tracks won't delete

Have you tried updating the firmware. Even if it is the lastest edition, download the firmware manually and run the software. Then format in Windows Media player. Best Regards Keith
