I cant eject my Panasonic NV-GS55 Mini DV Digital video cassette

Try ejecting cassette whilst powered from AC Adaptor. Secondly, try operating Eject from powered off mode. If operation LED starts flashing after any of these attempts, the mechanism is probably jammed or has become mis-timed. Unfortunately this requires professional intervention to avoid further damage to your equipment.
I hope this information is of assistance!

MX2, it displays the following: "remove the cassette" or eject. I thought it was a condensation problem but all attempts failed, please help me.

On Canon camcorders, "remove the tape" error is due to no data reading by video head. You may have clogged heads or somewhere along the area. Initially, I would try to insert good clean "video head cleaning tape" and run for about 7 seconds and see if that resolve the symptom. If it persists, it need a help from a technician. Good Luck. Tape will not eject / Battery full

while the eject process is trying to happen remove the battery and replace it. keep initiating the eject process and removing the battery and it should finally eject. If you attempt to use the camera again put in a new tape so you don't lose a tape that contains footage you may want to save.

Tape will not eject

If you open the eject thingy like normal then look for a small white plastic tap. its located right underneath the "start/stop" text you see on the back end of the camera (where the record-button is). You´ll need something like a small screwdriver or similar. Press it and and the tape ejects like normal. Worked for me. Saved me the repair bill :)

Cassettes not rewinding

The heads could also just need a good cleaning, either professionally or using a head cleaner dv tape. It's important to remember to always use the same manufacturer dv tape all the time. Evidently, Sony and Panasonic do not mix well, and the lubricants from those two tapes combined will gum up the works. If you use Sony dv's, always use a Sony head cleaner and vice versa. Cold can also cause those lubricants to gum up. Sometimes simply fast forwarding will loosen things up.

Tape wont eject, play, or rewind. It tries, but soon the message to push reset comes up. No help. Camera works ok otherwise.

put the camera to your ear , power it up and listen ! if it sounds . . . jerky ? your tape is stuck to the heads ( not easy to get out , cassette may be toast and - time is money ) ; if you hear whirring sounds ? before shuts down your cassette housing may be bent ( will need disassembly etc . but not usually expensive ) because - if it is a loading problem , it will usually eject ;
