Make sure the lamp door is engaging the safety switch. if it is then the a/c input board is bad or the power supply.

My projector xr-11xc does not power on after it has been plugged in

Please check the internal fuse. It should be right underneath the power plug port. If it's broken, then buy a new one.

Hello :

If the plug is fine , then it must be a fuse or power transformer or the power PCB [ printed circuit board ] .

If it's the fuse , that can be replaced .

If it's power transformer or PCB , then you should take it to a repair shop !

good luck .

Sharp XR-10X projector. Makes a loud whirring noise when trying to turn on. Bulb starts to turn on then doesn't. It's not the fans because I opened up the projector, disconnected the fans and it still...

the colorwheel motor bearings are starting to go. you'll need to replace the colorwheel. you can get the part from a sharp service center and do it yourself or send it to one for repair. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com

New bulb in now wont work - no power - wont turn on to reset lamp

first, make sure you have the correct lamp. the lamp for the xr-10x-l looks like the xr-10x, but the plugs are different (common mistake). make sure you have the AN-XR10L2/1, not the AN-XR10LP/1. to reset the lamp timer (with the projector plugged in but off), hold down the enter, down arrow, and menu buttons and press the power.

Fan making noise

Hi, you probably have something rubbing against the fan or a faulty fan. To investigate, you'll have to open up your projector and look at the fan.

To start the process, you'll have to remove the cover of the unit. I just opened my Sharp xr-10x DLP projector today, which had no power, no lights, no functions. A previous post worked for me...Remove the 6 screws on the bottom of the unit (you'll need a longer phillips) and the two screws on the back, toward the top of the unit. Obviously, be sure to keep these handy for reassembly (I have two curious dogs and a 4 year old to contend with). Then, to remove the housing...use a std screwdriver and slightly pry the cover off from the rear of the unit. This should losen allowing you to pivot the cover forward and then off from the projector lens. Once removed, look toward to rear of the projector...the fan is located here...it's a small unit that vents out the rear. Before removing this, check to see if there is any debris in the vent area that will be need to be removed. If you need to remove the fan, you can do so with the screws attached to the fan unit. Once this is done, you'll be able to plug the unit in and see where the noise is coming from. If it is from the fan unit itself, you'll have to order a replacement from Sharp. Just contact their service/warranty dept and tell them the make/model and they can obtain the part for you. At this point, reassemble the unit by reversing the above instructions. At least your projector should work while you await a replacement part to arrive.

Good Luck...Hope this helps you out.

Sharp projector(xr-10x) lamp wont come on. lamp only 600hrs old. second lamp to have stopped around this stage. could their be any other issue. when lamp did come on projector made a buzzing noise which i...

that noise could be the color wheel. it sound like a fan. but it could be a fan and if fan does not work properly , the lamp would not stay cool.

Maybe you should have a service center look at . before you get another lamp.

Flasing red light

The flashing red indicates that either the fileter cover or the lamp cover is not installed correctly. If both are installed properly and secured, the unit will require service.
