Using IVA-W203 + NVE-P1. Cannot get iphone or Bold 9700 to work. It detects but does not dial or can't hear anything.

if the speaker sound raffled or you are totally not hearing anything the speaker may shifted and you may need to pull the phone apart and put it back in place and ensure that it is tightened, as in screwed down tightly

Alpine only pays for certain mapping.
This unit will not have the same mapping that say a Garmin would have.

I dont believe there are any updates for the P1 at this time.

Alpine does not have any updates to this 4-5 year old map at this time per Alpine tech support. It is the same out of date mapping as the BT200 - when available, it may be supplied for free... or at a charge from there website - support. Also, having problems with your iPhone 3G syncing your address book. Alpine is having me send in my NVE-P1 and they are replacing the hardware inside so that it will now sync. Also, iPod Touch, and iPhones need at least version 3.0 in order to display video to the W505 unit.

Pressing down the reset button for at least 10 seconds may solve the problem. Sometimes media units glich like computers.

You may also try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes.

pac tr7 module will bypass the video lock. the lock comes on if you have the aux on while in drive. shuts off the screen so you cant watch movies and drive. go to amazon or google PAC-tr7 module. costs between 15-30 bucks depending on where you buy it. Very simple hook up, just follow the wire chart.

If the head unit has a reset button try to reset it. if that doesn't work it will need to be sent to the manufacture to be repaired or replaced. But if someone broke it warranty doesn't cover that. Niether do most insurance companies without special coverage. Sorry.
