Do you mean the Panasonic KX-TGA470 handset? The KX-TGA470 handset is the included handset for several models of Panasonic cordless phone systems, including the KX-TG7732. When the ringer is off, the handset should show a bell with a line through it. To adjust the ring volume, press Menu on that handset when the phone is in standby. (The base and handsets are not in use.) After pressing the Menu button, type # 1 6 0. (Alternatively, use the arrow keys to navigate to Initial Settings and press the soft key for Select. Navigate to Ringer Settings and press Select again. Go to Ringer Volume Handset and press Select once more.) Use the arrow keys to select a value between 0 and 7. 0 will keep the ringer disabled. Press the soft key for Save. Press Off to exit the menu.
You can also adjust the ringer volume on that handset by pressing the Volume Up key while the phone is ringing at the base and other handsets. You can adjust the base ringer volume by pressing the + or - keys when the phone is ringing. Alternatively, press Menu # * 1 6 0 from any handset. Note: this phone system also has a silent mode. Press Menu # 2 3 8 to enable or disable the feature. When this is enabled, the handset will show an icon with several Z's.
You can find the manual on the phone system page:
https://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/KX-TG7732S.html . The current link to the manual is
ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/telephone/om/kx-tg7731_mul_om.pdf . See pages 23 and 35 for the ringer volume adjustment. See pages 35 and 40 for information on the silent mode.
I hope this helps.

My key pads have failed on my MD481 and MD41. I just called them and they no longer make the units. No replacement available. Any suggestions???
We also have a DM41 and the "on" button just failed on one of our remote handsets after three years of use. I'm sorry to hear Motorola won't replace them anymore. It's going to be really irritating to have to buy a whole new phone system every couple of years.
We also have a Motorola MD41 system, and the "on" button just failed after three years of use. I'm sorry to hear the company won't replace the handsets anymore, as they used to. It's going to be very irritating to have to buy a new system every three years.
Buttons won't work and Motorola won't replace. Very dissappointing.
Motorola Canada replaced our first handset (MD471)when it failed after 1 year. The new one now has a faulty on button. They are no longer offering service on this model. I will probably take it apart and see what I can do. Off course we just spent $20 on a new battery. Oh well?
I have a replacement handset that cant be more than two years old that wouldnt charge, so I replaced the battery it charged. Now about three weeks later it is completely dead. The battery is new so it has to be the phone. I have very inexpensive other cordless phones that I have had no problems with for over eight years.
We have the same problem with our handsets. I called Mortorola and the technical support said that they stop manufacturing the cordless phone so "sorry we cannot do anything to help".
4 handsets (one main base). main base handset has no dial tone; it does nothing.
