Processor is not heating no display ? - Compaq Evo N1020V PC Notebook

Have you checked if the processor is getting heated or not?
Check the voltage at ram 3rd pin. It should have about 2 volts.
Check it proessor and without processor

remove the processor heatsink and the processor clean the surface and apply a thin layer of heat sink compound and fix back the processor and also check the processor fan is working if the processor is fauly the processor heats up quickly and shutdown the computer

First check the processor fan is working if working remove the memory from the slot clean with a clean cloth and rub the conector with a erasor dont use any metel or any other thing insert the memory and see if the lock is locked on to memory properly still not working change the memory sutable for the memory slot still not working removce the processor heatsink and the processor clean the surface and apply athin layer of heat sink compound and fix back the processor if still not working change the processor if still not working use an addon graphics card and check for display

The display is not function bcz your system is overheating.. it can be solved by replacing the heat sink fan ..apply some heat sink paste on the top of the processor for better performance !!

first remove the cover switch of the computer and check the cable from the monitor to the computer is connected properly then check wethe the smps is working then check wether the processor fan is working if working remove the meomery card and clean with a clean cloth and also remove the processor heat sink and clean both surface of the heatsink and the processor and lay a thin layer of heat sink solvet and replace the processor fan firmly to the processor and switch on the computer

remove your memory card and wipe it clean with a clean cloth and insert the memory in the slot dont forget to remove all the addon card ide or sata cable power to hard his and cd drive restart the computer see if the display is ok if not remove the processor fan and the processor clean it with clean cloth and fix the processor to the socket also clean the heat sink and apply a thin layer of heat sink solvent and fix the heat sink tightly to the socket if the display doesnt come change your processor which suits the socket

remove your processor and the processor fan clean the processor surface with a clean cloth and fix it to the socket apply a thin layer of heat sink compound and fix the heat sink firmly to the processor remove your memory card and clean it with a neat cloth and insert it in the slot and restart the computer still not working remove the memory module and restart your computer you will hear long beeps now insert the memory and restart your computer if you hear only one short beet and display not coming add an pci or agp graphics card if it work the problem is with your graphics section in the motherboard

First open cpu cabinet.
Refix RAM memory on motherbord.
Clean dust from all parts.
Remove PCI cards from motherbord.
Open processor fan and processor then refix both.
Pull CMOS cell from motherbord for 15 minutes so all settings defaults.
Make sure your motherbord not ground with cabinet.
Then check.
If processor and circuit are heat high then put extra fan in cabinet.

if your processor does not heat up it's probably dead.. try running it without the fan and see if the heat sink still doesn't heat up
