Verifone 3740 credit card terminal

To clean print head, just use denatured alcohol on a cotton pad. lift the paper cover and clean all you can see, dry and test print. If this problem continues call Frank @ 775-338-6634

This indicates an ip connection error.
Unplug the terminal. Wait 5 seconds. Plug back in.
After it reboots you will see two or more menu options. Select CommServer (instead of Credit/Debit) by pressing the function key beside it.
Select Troubleshoot to allow it run through the diagnostics. Push the purple button below "Print" to print the results.
Now select Repair by pushing the function key next to it. After the repair routine has run, press * on the keypad to return to the main menu.
Select Credit/Debit and then try swiping a card and performing a transaction. This hopefully will solve the problem for you. If not, call your merchant services provider's tech support and share the error message and tell them you printed the troubleshooting diagnostics report and they should be able to assist further.

The print head needs cleaning; run cleaning paper through it (purchase from Verifone dealer).

We found that it was neither the thermal paper roll nor the thermal component. The cover did not close tight enough and that caused the print-put to be light or missing printed areas.

This is really a question for your credit card processor as the software for verifone terminals vary greatly from processor to processor.

which one ? i have tried all also the cable i have is a serial 25 pin female so i got a adapter to serial male still wont print can anyone help ?p250 to pc windows xp

Just pop the lid with the button on the side of the terminal and drop the roll in with the paper coming out toward you as you face the machine. Close the lid and rip off excess. There is no need to feed paper through anything.
