My D80 fell from a foot n half above the ground level well packed in a good quality carry case few days back.uv filter attached to 18-135 Nikor lens cracked & lens cap was jammed. After carefully removing pieces of the uv filter & taking pictures dark patches appear top corners of pictures taken. What could have gone wrong & how serious does the problem look?

Hi, allow me to suggest using another lens to see if you still see the dark patches in the top corners. If not it is the lens, if so it is the camera. Either way it sounds as though something is maladjusted. Call Nikon digital 1-800-645-6689.

What should I do if my copper level test is 0.9 on my above ground 18; salt water pool

copper level should be 0.0
you can purchase a good quality metal remover but be sure to follow the instructions to the letter for best results. short of that, remove all but 6 inches of water from pool and refill with fresh (not well) water

My phone fell on the ground, approx...100cm down, then it immediately went off and never come on again...changed the flexi cable but still nothing happens...is it the quality of the phone that led this to...

Some phones do better than others. Phones with cases tend to be luckier than phones without cases. The answer your question, yes. The quality of your phone and it being dropped 1 meter caused it to die.

The pictures that I was taking had the correct color balance I accidentally hit the program setting which put a blue tint in half the pictures. Can I fix the photo's in the camera? I have a Nikon D80.

The short answer to your question is "Yes, but it is not recommended".

The D80 has a number of in-camera settings where you can add a Warm filter to images in your camera. This will sort of remove the blue tint by adding an orange feel to your images.

However, the above will be a very tedious process if you have a lot of pictures. Also, the quality of your pictures will deteriorate if you do this in-camera.. plus you will not see the damage in the small LCD.

Therefore, I recommend you download your pictures to a computer and use an editing program like Aperture or Photoshop to change the tint/modify the white balance of your pictures. Some programs like Lightroom or Adobe Bridge will allow you to do changes to multiple pictures at the same time.

Looks focused but isn't

Try this.

Switch D80 on.
Reset the camera by pressing the two buttons with a green dot beneath them on the top of the D80, right hand side.
The buttons are AF and +-.
These must be pressed together at the same time for a few seconds.
This is just in case you have set something strange, you do not need to do this all the time.

Set the command dial to Auto.
Set the button on the lower front/left hand side to AF.
Set the lens to A.

Now you can just take pictures, the D80 will autofocus and set the exposure itself.

Amp makes loud noise, why?

Make sure its a good ground. Make sure your audio cables running from your radio are not running on the same side as your power cables running to your amp. Sometime that can cause alot of noise in the lines
