C44 = fuser error
turn copier off
hold down 0 & 8 while turning it on

then wait one min, then press 4 0 0 start

then 0 and set

turn off wait one min then turn on if this does not work it might need parts

broken registration error = memory error

try turning off then hold * 1 & 3 (hold down all three keys) and turn on
wait till it says pleas wait then you can let go

For error code C44, it indicates Heater abnormality.

If 1st time occur, u can just go to 08-400, reset the value to "0" then restart the machine.

If happen again, then u need to check the thermistor. Replace it if necessary. If themistor replaced but still happen again, then u need to proceed to check themostat--> heater-->Mainboard-->Switching regulator.

I am looking to reset my toshiba studio 163 spanner signal.the machien stoped functioning. i need he reset code.

Fisrt off please hold down the 8+C buttons together, there will show a error code in the copy quantity display.
Now not knowing what the error code is, i am going to hope that it is C44 that is the most common
error code on the E163 machine. If it is C44 please do the following.
Switch off the machine.
While holding down 0+8 buttons, switch on the machine.
When ad shows on the display, input 400 then press the start button.
If the value is not 0, input 0 button and press the interupt and energy saver buttons to save the change.
Switch off the machine wait awhile and then switch the machine on again.
The problem should be sorted out.
If the error code is not C44 you will have to let us know what the error code is, by holding the8+0 buttons down together.

Here is hoping the machine is working

You should apply to service Toshiba.
The Possible faults in lamp of the heating, thermistor, contact of the elements of fuzer or in signal of the controller of the direct current.

C41 Fuser thermistor, or no heat C43 Fuser thermistor problem or other fuser problem, after machine goes into ready C44 Heater problem

My Toshiba e studio 167 is showing a c44 error code. What should I do?

the c44 error is an error in the fuser if you know how to take the fuser out check for toner buld up on the thermistors.. the sensors with the thin strip that presses against the hot roller gets toner build up and cant read temp properly.. you could also try turning machine off and then on whilst pressing 1 3 and * buttons together this might reset it temporarily for you.. I have a Toshiba estudio 160 which has come up with the message "call for service" with no other error code.I pres the c key and the 8 key at the same time and the numeric code was c44.Please help me

Error Code C44 has to do with the fuser section of the copier - probably not warming up fast enough and got tripped. There is a reset function for this but it's done by the technicians, not users. Once reset it should be OK but you need to make sure that this copier has in-line surge protection as spike in the line can cause simialr problems in most copiers.
