Error message - "check Rec. Paper"

Please Call Service means the machine "thinks" it has detected a fault.
To check do the following..
Press PROGRAM,*, 6
Then press PROGRAM to select Service Call mode, then press ENTER....the error message will be displayed in the display.
Most common error given machine age was "Heater Error".
If this is the case you will need a Serviceman to do repairs to the Fuser Unit.

Roll of paper is not threaded thro the cutter mechanism properly...or the sensor may be dirty.

Can you pick up the handset and dial a number and speak to the other person using the handset..?? You might just require a filter which your telephone company should be able to provide.

Yes the Call Service Message on Muratec is directly tied to Imaging Unit replacment. Especially if you are not getting any codes in the display.

There should be an exit sensor, as part of the fuser unit, I suspect it either has not been connected or is physacally jammed out of position. Check these areas, and also for pinched wires.

Probably just needs cleaning. Try using rubbing alcohol to clean the head.

please check the switch of mentioned cover may be it is abnormal or open and close the front cover or check may be there is one reset switch in your machine

Unfortunately that is a function of the sending unit. If they did not program their number in, then you won't have a record. If this is a persistent problem, you may want to sign up for Caller ID. Even if they put the paper in upside down, your fax will still print a head on top of the page with the information they have programmed. If they program a wrong fax number, then all you will have is a wrong number. Wish I have better new for you. Ed
