My black jack can't power on it only flicks when i put in the charger so please help me

My blackjack wont' charge either. And no, it's not the battery. I can use the battery charger and alternate between the regular and extended batteries, but when I plug in the wall charger (or a USB cable), the "charging" icon flickers for a second then is gone. The phone chimes when a cable is plugged into it, so it recognizes that it's being plugged in; also, it syncs and tethers perfectly fine. So the connector works. It simply will not accept power through the cable connection.

I have the same issue, I hve 3 batteries, 2 wall chargers, and 2 usb sync cables, it WONT charge of usb, and when plugged in ( on or off ) it will act like it is charging for a about 2 min and  the say fully chrged and stop charging... I have changed the USB settings, formatted the phone, even flashed to the new WM6, all still give the same results... Any Ideas anyone?

Same exact problem. Plug in the new cord, phone and battery and after two days it's doing the same thing. Support has no idea what the problem is.

My blackjack is doing the same thing I bought chargers batteries and finally had to invest in an external battery charger instead of just charging my phone. I just got a new one because it was still under warranty. i just plugged it in and guess what> it wont charge either. these things are defective.

Phone works perfectly. When I try to charge through the phone, it does not show charging icon when on and goes dim and shows a triangle and exclamation point when trying to charge with the phone off.

I have a blackjack i607, the phone worked perfectly with a wall charger till a left it home at the start of my trip, I bought a USB charger cable and it worked the first time. However the next time I plugged it in, the phone TURNED ON and the charging icon went off after a minute or two!! This happened a few times with me changing settings with every try, it worked on the 3rd.

Now though, whenever I plug it in is just will not work come hell or high water. It is f-ing infuriating!!! So to sum it up:

When I plug in the USB charge cable while the phone is off, it follows the following steps:
1.) turns on and shows the charging icon
2.) gives me an incorrect reading for the battery level (this lasts for a minute or two)
3.) the icon goes off and I continue to get a false reading for the battery for another few moments
4.) the phone returns to normal as if I never plugged it in.
5.) if at this point I try to turn the phone off it automatically reboots as soon as the screen goes black.

When plug the phone in when the phone is on I get the same thing (minus step #1)

At pressent I don't have a wall charger, but I do have a USB power box the plugs into the wall so you can charge your phone/mp3/ipod with a USB power cable and i get the same problem as when I plug into the computer.

    Ben

This phone has done this TWO times now!
but the thing is,it will work if i hold the chager close to it and wiggle it around!

I did a hard reset because i was having the same problem with a new battery and a new charger. I took my sim card out first to prevent any possible data loss. then followed the following steps:

  1. Once the handset has rebooted to the Today Screen, enter the following code: *2767*3855#. The handset should display a message “Formatting- Please wait a moment”.
  2. The phone will reboot after the Full Reset as this is normal operation.
after i did that i plugged in the charger and it worked perfectly. this is the last step that you would do after updating the software on the BJ

Phone will not charge it has a new battery and charger

Hello,

Try put the battery on a similar phone and charge with your new charger, if it charges, it means your new battery and charger are good.

The problem with the phone is the charging port, you will need to replace the charging port because it does not charge your phone battery anylonger.

Take care.

My phone wont charge.... i have bought a new battery, charged it for 24 hours, and it still wont charge. even when it does charge it wont keep the charge for more than a day. why wont it charge. plzzzz...

It could be the charger itself that has the issue. If you have another charger try that. If you have done this and it still won't hold a charge I would contact your service provider they will try to trouble shoot issue but more than likely will get you to send phone in through warranty if your still eligible. If not eligible for warranty and don't have insurance ask about upgrade options. Hope this helped.

My blackjack wont charge or turn on

i think you should also change your battery so that you will know if the problem is with the charger of the battery.

or may be the charging pin is the problem or is broken, so you should try and check all.

Blackjack just wont chage at all

Do a master reset of the phone. Sounds like a software problem since both the usb and power jack not working.
  1. Once the handset has rebooted to the Today Screen, enter the following code: *2767*3855#. The handset should display a message “Formatting- Please wait a moment”.
  2. The phone will reboot after the Full Reset as this is normal operation.

Blackjack cell phone AT&T won't charge or turn on

Go back to AT&T, or find somebody else who has a Blackjack II and put thier battery in the phone to see if this 'jump starts' it. I have had the same problem now 3 times. There seems to be a consistent issue with Blackjacks just not charging after a while, then the battery runs down and you can't turn the phone on again. 1st time AT&T put a new battery in mine and it turned straight on! 3 weeks later it happend again and they gave me a new phone AND another new battery. 3 weeks later the same thing has happened again with thenew phone. Never seen this happen with any other phone model.
