You need to check the ohms on your subs an amp . try unbridgen the amp . Go to Rockford Fosgate dot com on the amplifier wiring diagram hopefully that helps
The unit is internally grounded. Something has broken inside and grounding out the power, the amp will need to be serviced or trashed. Try calling Fosgate. They may have a serviceman or "fix it" department
Your amp is fryed it happened to me. Pull the covers off so you can see the mother board and Then try connect all wires. But don't connect the light up display. Good luck. Im gets a bit Hot now and only two ch work
Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Your amp is clipping. Try adding a capa
A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you.
Its a shame that you dont have the covers for this awesome amp. You can run amps without the covers but if metal crosses any conductors your screwed. If you try emailing Rockford they might be able to help([email protected]). I am cheap and would either buy one that doesn't work and use covers or make a box to bolt amp into. If you build a little box make sure to vent it so the amp can cool.
your Volfenhag 12" subs are rated at 1200 watts they are only 600 watts rms and the Rockford punch p4004 is only 200 watts rms so the answer is yes it will work but if you get a amplifier that pushes out 500 - 600 watts rms you will love the sound from subs
there is nothing wrong with the Rockford amp it just wont pound out the bass as hard but the good news is you will never blow the subs with it
when buying amps or subs make sure to look at rms rating that is the true power they actually have ie. (sub box says 1200 watt you think powerful but if you divide it in 1/2 you actually get 600 watts rms) don't get me wrong that's a nice rating. for a sub but you will want to match that number with the amps rms rating or lower. The RMS is what makes the car pound the higher the RMS the better
hope this helps
if burned components are on output stage or amplifier section on board..Then look at the oposite side of amp..Both amplifier section should be a mirror image oof componentc from other..that way you can know the values of parts. If they are on power supply section ..Then you might need manual if available..
