When loading the mini DV, I get an error message to remove he cassette. Please help!

Mine just won't load the tape. mechanism closes fine when I take the tape away and try door. sits there until I do.

I just had the same problem. I turned the camera on and off for a while then thumped it at various points around the body then tried putting the tape back in and this time it took it.
Since I started getting the error message right after watching the tape I don't know how long this will last.
my tape wont load when i insert a tape and shut the door on the tape conpartment an alarm goes of it notifies me to remove the tape and ejects it i have tried several tapes it does the same thing?!?!
argh, i was hoping there was a solution here! i have the same problem...
