Hitachie 42v715 @ power up there is no picture...the power light (blue) and both the lamp & temp light (red) blinks

Mine did that and the red light was flashing it was the lamp. Best place to get one is ebay

Its possible that your lamp is bad, or you have not closed the lamp cover properly. If you don't close it, the sensor will tell the TV not to turn on.

How long has it been sense you changed the lamp? This type of symptom seem as if it could be the lamp needs replaced. Check the manual for the lamp number. Make sure you buy an original hitachi lamp. I assume this is the brand. Hope this is helpful.

The color wheel needs replacing. Thats causing the whining and it will also make the lamp light blink.

Start with check/ replacing the lamp. Reference your owners manual for locating the lamp access door as it varies depending on model.

Refer to owners manual ! Blinking indicates the type of fault that is occuring on all your tv sets. example : power light on red - indicator light beside it green but blinks rapidly for half a second rapidly then shuts off. This refers to a faulty lamp or a lamp that is near its expiration. Read your manuals if indicators refer to easy repair sweet, but if it says call tech then bummer...
