I cannot send complete text messages that have a picture and music associated with them. Either no picture and music, or just the picture is transmitted.

This error may be caused by a character encoding system that is not fully supported on your GSM carrier network MMS handling system. To remedy the problem, under settings for the messaging service in concern, set the default character encoding scheme to GSM Alphabet instead of UTF-8, and ensure that the selected MMS class and size is supported by your carrier.Also, ensure that your device is fully compliant with the OMA( Open Mobile Alliance) MMS Messaging Standards in respect to the size and content of the message you are sending.

when I go to any facebook page, I get gobbletygook - squares and number signs, etc. No actual words or facebook pages.

Try changing the encoding to UTF-8.
In Firefox, it's View->Character Encoding->Unicode(UTF-8)

divx greek subtitles

look in the menu and try to change the encoding, There should be 3 options, Unicode, Cyrilic & Greek. Select greek if the .sub or .srt file is in ANSI encoding, or select Unicode if the file is in UTF-8 or Unicode encoding.

To find out the encoding of an .srt file the simpliest thing to do is open them with notepad and got to "File" -> "Save as", The encoding should appear in the bottom of the dialog.
