BLUETOOTH CONNECTION PROBLEMS

CAN'T GET MY TOMTOM 920 TO RECOGNIZE MY BLACKBERRY 8100. MY BLACKBERRY RECOGNIZES THE GPS BUT THEY CAN'T ESTABLISH A CONNECTION.

  • Russell1965 Apr 06, 2008

Yes - I get the same with my 920 syncing with my Pearl. It establishes connection only ONCE and then loses connection.
No chance of using the "Handsfree" feature or the Pearl for Data Downloads.

Well, according to THIS, the Blackberry 8100 can only be used for hands free calling with a Go920...

That said, it shlould be possible to establish a connection between the two...

Let the Go find the phone, not other way around...
It can take a LONG time searching for the phone, and it may not be able to establish a connection automatically..

If so, try to set it up manually, it will ask for that if it fails...

In blackberry "setup bluetooth" menu, have your phone look for a device. Once the Blackberry 8100 sees the GO 920, hit the BB button, go to the "options" and ensure that your "Discoverable" is set to YES. Then pair from your GO 920.

What is the bluetooth passkey code?

When you are pairing your TOMTOM with a BlueTooth-enabled cellular phone, your TomTom will ask you to enter "0000" when the phone asks for a pin. In order not to have to enter the pass code every time you want to connect to the phone, declare the TomTom as a trusted device.
When you are pairing the two make sure that the phone is "visible for xxxx minutes" or "always visible".

Can't connect Navman S200 to Blackberry 8310 using bluetooth.

The Blackberry is not compatible, there is no patch to make it work. Have a look at the listed phones Navman have tested on their website. Try and see if Blackberry have any updates, that could maybe help the connection.
