Hi, If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heatingthe most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Check the vent that goes outside it may be blocked.

Heating element needs to be replace. It made by several sections to produce heat. some section are bad so heating didn't come on with its full capacity.

if your clothes are damp because you say it does dry some what then it sounds like it could be the gas coils,the coils will work for awhile but then they fail and the timer will not move if there is no heat on the more or less

It turns out it was a clog in the vent. We purchased a new vent kit and the clothes dried properly.

need to check your vent duct. if clogged it won't let the air flow through the dryer needed to dry your clothes.

check your ignitor id make sure the vents cleaned as well

your dryer has a safety feature that it will not run or heat when the door is opened. It is so no gas fumes are exhauseted into your home. Once the safety is engaged, It will not allow the dryer to restart for a short while. It should clear itself after only a few minutes. Hope this helps, good luck.

We have a Neptune Gas dryer,my husband changed the belt cause it was making noise,now the heat hardly works,i put the dryer on for 40 minutes and usually it is dry,now i did that twice and clothes is still damp,would you know what the problem is please help
