How to replace an element

This could be a couple of issues, but unfortunately if it's your element, you would have to replace the entire element, not just the middle part. What's the rest of your model number? I can find a part number for you. (KECD806R****)

The front right burner isnt working

Most common fault is the hotplate element is faulty and requires replacement followed by a burnt off terminal at the hotplate terminal followed by a faulty control switch.

My electrician examined the cooker and found that the main element has a hole burnt in it.

This is a common problem and happens a lot. it is usually a flaw in the element that eventually burn a a hole right through it, and renders the element inoperative. They are relatively inexpensive to replace.

The main burner (left front) only heats on half the circle.

Your referring to an electric range I'm assuming. In that case the heating element is only heating to a mid-point then stopping. This typically means the heating element is burnt or is partially burned out. The element is usually user replaceable and requires the old one be unpluggude and replaced with a new one. You'll need to get the element from the manufacturer.

Control for dual element has to be wiggled just so -so to shut element off, what do I need to fix it? Heats perfectly, shutting it off is my only problem.

The control you're wiggling (infinite switch)needs replacement. Model# and the position of the dual element (right or left, rear or front) is needed to get the part number.

One of the top elements does not heat up Can I just replace the element underneath. It is the one piece top.

The element is controlled by the switch, generally the element is bad, but it could also be the switch, or just a wire burnt off at a bad connection, which happens the least, but does happen.

After unplugging power, there are generally only two screws on the front corners on the underside to release top to lift up enough to test and service. There should be a schematic taped on the back or behind the control or alongside the broil drawer, it varies, to tell you which wires are for the element. Usually I make my own diagram of wires anyway to keep from mixing up.Suggest taking to a appliance store for testing if you do not have a meter, before replacing, also draw a line on the underside of the element to mark the location on the support bar to get it back in the correct spot.
good luck

Cooking element

Hello
If the grilling elements does not get hot enough, then the main reasons for that are:
Escessive air movement across the grill.
Surface controls may not be properly set.
and the voltage maybe low.
But if is not getting hot at all then you can check by exchainging the elements to see if it is the element itself, and if it is the element then you will need to replace it.
I hope this help!!
If you need to replace it I know a place that are very cheap for Jenn-Air parts and super fast delivery...Let me know.

Can't control temp of one element, is either high of off, nothing inbetween

- The infinite switch for the controller likely needs to be replaced, this part can be ordered from your nearest Jenn-air parts dealer
