Acer monitor says no signal, then goes blank. Is

There are two common reasons for that problem. 1) Your video card on your pc may be having issues. 2) Your monitor is not working properly
Here is a test to isolate the problem to the monitor. Plug it into another pc or laptop VGA or DVI slot and try to power it on again. If it works then you know for sure it's your video card giving trouble. Either gone bad or needs the drivers to be updated/uninstalled and reinstalled.
If it doesn't work then you're looking at some monitor repair or potentially a new one. However since you said you saw the Acer logo, it's a positive sign it's not really your monitor as it would not work all together if it had an issue.

yes start the computer then keep pressed the key F8 untill the display comes then hightlight the option last good known configuration and select the problem will be solved

Check your connections to the PC. Make sure that they are nice and secure. If there is a resolution problem setting it should display the boot process and then go blank after starting the operating system.

Cause If you connected the monitor power already is on, you may not get signal. Power plug off the monitor first, Then connected to laptop. Then power the laptop and power the monitor. FN key press hold with your Monitor swicthing key which symbol of two monitor shows on key probably number 5 or 6 maybe 7 check user guide if you have it.
another cause is your monitor may need driver install in your laptop, Some system required that. Check monitor system requirements.

Ive seen this on other monitors. Look for a 1 and 2. Some monitors do NOT auto detect a signal, and this one might not. Look for a way to set the monitor from Digital input to VGA input. Try that and see.

You will need to download the drivers for this monitor. Your laptop already has them installed.

Just got off the phone with Acer Suppport. This was after I sent an email to them, that suggested that I call. 8-/ annoying. So the guy on the phone says there is one thing that we can do before sending it in. Unplug it completely for the wall and computer. Hold the on/off button in for 30 secs. reconnect power and the computer. It worked for me

The need to reboot your computer to get your monitor working places the blame totally in the computer. You have a virus, or the computer is overheating and shutting down for thermal reasons.

Don't boot with the monitor connected to the card. You need to let it boot into windows and install the drivers for it first. Once you do that,shutdown and restart with the monitor plugged into it and it should work.
