1.Ur problem is with the drivers only , nothing with ur H/W. Find the appropiate drivers, uninstall the older one , restart, install new and again restart it.
the sound will come out.
2. if you don't have the driver then get your drivers free. just go to ur mother board site, click on download section click on drivers, enter mother board number and download the drivers free
www.asus.com. Clcik on the upport link, lookup your board model # and input the operating system you are using. It will then list all available bios files and drivers for your board. These are available for free download. Download and install the driver[s] you need and you should be all set. hope this helps.

Many mother boards require the electric line from the CD/DVD player to the mpther board for sound . Check your manual. If you have not one download it from the MSI website:
