I have a samsung smo-151qn monitor and a clover cdr4170 dvr. i am trying to view what is recorded on the clover dvr on the samsung. i did not get a manual with the monitor and am not sure if i have them hooked up correctly. i have the camera's hooked up to the samsung but the dvr also has places for the camera's, so i'm not sure which i should hook the camera's too. the dvr also is a stand alone recorder and can be hooked up to the computer to view but have not figured that out either. please help
thanks

I have the same problem. I believe this unit is a lemon by Samsung. I was so exhausted I went to Hard drive erase. After I erased the HD, now it will not record or go into recode mode. I think all it good for now is just to view the monitor. When I call Samsung they dont have a clue what a DVR is. I never seen a company so illerate. They cant even tell me where I can send it for repair.
I broke a cable module on one of the original cables during installation. I tried to substitute a normal telephone cable with 6 pin RJ11 modules but it wouldn't work. I finally got the broken module to work but there is apparently some difference between the pins or wiring of the furnished smo-120S cable and RJ11 phone cable.
Sorry I don't have a solution but perhaps will help you find a solution.
If you are hooking your cameras into the SMO-151qn then you can use the pigtail cable to connect to the Shr-1040. Make sure the video out from the SMO-151qn goes into the video in of the Shr-1040. If there is a choice
use CH1. On the Shr-1040 hold down the mode button and press CH2 for about 10 seconds. The Shr-1040 should reboot. Once it comes up press the record button. After recording for a feww minutes stop the recording. On the SMO-151qn press the button on the front Live/Vcr. You should see the screen from your Shr-1040. IF you hit play you should see what you recorded.
Good Luck!
