Help I have the Lexmark x1270m which worked like adream on my Dell computer with windows xp. I transfered everything to my new computer with windows vista home premium and now I cant get my x127om to work, I really miss it please help!!!

you need to connect the hard drive from the old computer in the new computer as a slave and then you can transfer all the files

Remove old drive from computer and install in new computer using ide ribbon. It will connect as a secondary unit and you can then using windows explorer transfer any data on old drive to new one.

I have the same printer, Windows Vista, and also only use the device drivers, but do not experience the problem you are having. The only problem I have with it is that scanning using MS Office 2007 times out before the image can completely transfer. So uninstalling your existing drivers and then reinstalling may do the trick.

If you still wish to install the All-In-One Center software, Lexmark will only provide the device drivers, as you have discovered. However, there are reports that the Lexmark X6100 series AIO (All-In-One) is identical to the Dell A960 AIO. And, fortunately, Dell is kind enough to provide the similar All-In-One Center software.

Had a similiar issue with Vista not playing nice with my Dell all in one.
Had to go to the dell site and find a driver for this unit that will work with Vista, but first they will show a list of compatible printers and non-compatible so I would look for that first.

go to my computer > click on hardware tab >
click on device manager button > in the is next screen on the bottom should have>>universal serial bus controllers
(write these down just in case it cant find them)
right click on them and uninstall
reboot let windows reinstall them
Also told Microsoft hotfix causes this problem try uninstalling the last hotfix
If that doesn't fix it try the USB cable
