I have ge profile side by side Model PSI23NSTD. First my freezer keeps getting warmer and warmer and melting everything so I had someone to change the fan twice within the past month. Today it is still doing the same thing again! The temp was set at -3 and 40 but it is showing the temp at 4 and 49 on the freezer and fridge side. What could be the problem???

Vegges frozen...ice in ice maker melting GE model PSW 26 LSRD refrigerator

Checkthe freezer temperature. The proper freezer temperature should be around 5degrees. The warmer it is in the freezer, the more difficult it is to make ice.

Where is the thermostat on a GE profile refrigerator Side-by-Side

There is no thermostat ( cold control ) on your model refrigerator . It works off thermistors ( 3 in the refrig section and 2 in the freezer section ) . These thermistors , operate by the coldness which in turn , less resistance to the main control board the colder or warmer it will provide .

Our GE Profile Model PS123NG/PS123NS came brand

probably a loose thermister. The thermister being not attached to the evap coils tight might not be relaying back the proper resistances info for the control board to make a propper defrost determination.
