YM already Installed, but unable to Open the application

1. Reboot your computer.
2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard. This will bring up the Windows Security window. Click the "Task Manager" button and then click the "Task Manager" tab.
3. You will see a list of files/applications. These are the applications running in the background on your system, whether they show on your taskbar or not. Any one of these applications could be causing a conflict with the Yahoo! Messenger installation.
4. Click the top item on the list to highlight it. Then hold the "Shift" key down and click the last item on the list. This should highlight the whole list.
5. Click the "End Task" button. This will temporarily close all background applications on your system.
6. Click the "X" in the upper right corner to close the Task Manager window.
7. Install Yahoo! Messenger. You should not experience the same issue that you had before.
8. After Yahoo! Messenger is installed,run registry cleaner reginout also reboot your system. All other background applications will return to their original configurations.

To improve the performance of your yahoo messenger, the best suggestion is to upgrade first your windows Internet Explorer. version 8 is highly recommended. This will stable the connection of your yahoo messenger to the internet because Yahoo products like yahoo messenger and yahoo mail all rely its connection from Internet Explorer.

It doesn't matter if you are using other net browsers like mozilla firefox or google chrome. Just upgrade to IE8.0 and you will see the difference.

If you have already installed a previous version of it then make sure that you have closed the application using the task manager.
And if you still persist to have the same issue then goto REGEDIT and search for Yahoo messenger and remove all strings. and then install YM freshly. it should work. Give a try!

It is some update problem. Were firewall settings blocked ym from opening and connecting. Try this methods....

do not upgrade or install ym 9.0. try it's lower ver.
check your password and id then login in lower ver.

I have installed YM 9.0 when i open it, it says the application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. I tried to uninstall it and reinstall it but same problem. Anybody can help Me.. Thank......

did you uninstall the previous ym first before installing beta 9 of ym?
uninstall the old ym first then.

download a clean copy,

before starting to install, try to disable momentarily your firewall.
see if there are many memory resident in your computer that's consuming the resources of your computer. tune up utilities 2007 should do the trick
