Sorry to tell you that not all cameras can read that much memory. If you look at your manual on page 92, at the very bottom; it will tell you that the camera is only guaranteed up to 512MB. You camera most likely can read a lot more than that, but where it stop is a **** shoot. You might want to buy a smaller card. :(

Sometimes, "card error" simply means that you need to format the card in the camera. This will erase the card so download any pics from it first using a card reader if necessary. typrice_87.jpg

Card read error on the digital picture frame - brand new. I bought this 7" digital photo frame from argos and I insert the SD card whilst the device is turned off, when I turn it on the message reads...

Put the card back into the camera and off load/take off your pictures (Put them on the computer). Then, put the card back into the camera and go to your options menu. Find the format feature, and format the card. Take some new pictures and then try putting the card back into the picture frame. Does it work? If so, transfer the images from your computer back to the card. If it continues to work, then Great! If not, more than likely there is an improper or corrupt file among your photos.

Good Luck!

Memory card

Did you just buy this card or have you had it working for a while and now this is happening?

From everything i have read about your camera, they won't take a 2 Gig card. A 1 GIG card is the biggest that is compatible with this camera. If the card is new i would take it back to the store and see if they will let you exchange it for a 1 GIG card.

If this just started happening after using it for a while -- it could be a problem with the card or the camera. Try putting in a different card and see if it will let you format that one. If it does you know for sure the problem is with the card. If you keep getting the same message no matter what card you use, i would phone Kodak. But, according to Kodaks own site, 1 GIG is the biggest card that is compatible. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Good Luck.

Card Error

try going to wolf camera or ritz camera they have a 512 meg chip for about 8 bucks put it in your camera and see if you can format it and take pictures. I have seen in the past that the 2 gig chips are frauds they are smaller chips formatted to a 2 gig compositor. They have been going around quite abit. if that does not work then the camera has a defective sd port and should be able to be replaced from where you got it. if they will not repair it then call casio you can find their number at www.casio.com/us then under contact us. Casio should fix it if you bought it from a retail store send them your receipt. That what they ask for to see when the warranty started. Hope this helps.

New SD Card wont work - all the others I have do!!

I believe any SD cards larger than 2Gb are technically SDHC cards, which are not compatible with all cameras. Kingston is a decent company so I'm guessing it's not because the card is a dud. If your camera doesn't advertise SDHC compatibility then I don't think you can get the card to work in it.
