If you're still having problems, one of the things I found is the batteries do not make a good connection, I bent the metal plate on the top end and it worked fine after that. I do have a problem with mine now though were the wheel doesn't catch all the time, I feel it click then all of a sudden it's just smooth and and doesn't move. guess cheap isn't always best. other than that it's been a great lil' mouse.

disconnect the usb adapter from the system connect it again mean while remove the mouse batteries re insert or better change batteries then perform the step that you ahve already tried

Hi there, if you are not sure what there then there is always a way how to resolved this issue. boot your computer from safe mode then go to system restore. Click start menu then all programs then accessories then system tools - then system restore. select a restore date that you know that your computer is working fine. the should resolved the issue. let me know if you need more help.

I'm not sure if this will work for you but go to this site: http://us.kensington.com/html/1466.html#mw611 There is a download of "Kensington MouseWorks™ Software Version 6.11" which might be what you need to make your mouse work. If this does not work, I'll see what else I can find for you. According to the site, it does work with Windows Me. Just out of curiosity, why are you still using WinMe?

Mouse does not move cursor -Kensington mouse and latitude laptop
I was having the same problem on Windows 7 and thought it might be a software issue. But then I found an online manual for the Kensington 72214 and got the solution.
You need to make sure to establish a wireless connection between the mouse and the USB receiver by first pressing the connect button on the end of the USB stick and then pressing the connect button on the bottom of the mouse. It is not simultaneous - do step one then two. This also has to be done any time your replace the batteries.

My mouse dose not move
There is a connect button under the mouse.
and there is a button on the reciever. Please press both the buttons together for 2 minutes and after this it is supposed to work. However if it is not working replace the battries and do this sync process again.

If still not working contact kensington support they will replace for you.

I bought a Kensington K72219 mouse a few years ago and am just now trying to use it wirelessly. There is another blue device that looks just like a mouse and has a USB cable connected to it. I don't know if that came with it and it is the receiver or if it is something else. You cannot click this one like you can the mouse. I need to download something to make this work with my computer which has a Windows XP operating system. Right now I am just using the built-in mouse that came in the laptop. Can you direct me to a site that has the downloads for free? Thank you.
